Dear Prayer Team,
God bless you. I am incredibly thankful for you. I am praying for you.
There is a phrase that I say to myself which I’m sure most of you have heard. The phrase is “get back on the horse.” The simple meaning is to keep on trying and don’t give up. I find myself saying “get back on the horse” in the morning when I honestly don’t want to put another step forward. I think this when I lay down in the middle of the day completely defeated by life. “Get back on the horse” is a phrase that gets me up. Why? Because I know one thing: God does not change. God is watching me; He is my father; He is still there and He gives me strength. I am His child.
I discovered that the complete quote is “get back on the horse that threw you.” I love that. Life and all that comes with it definitely throws us sometimes. In my case, I’m my own worst enemy and I get tired of dealing with my own self! But…I “get back on the horse” because of God and none other than Him. When I think about the fact that God is still the same wonderful God—faithful and true, perfectly loving—I can get up and press on. I can face another day. All will be well because of God. He won’t let me down, ever!
I encourage you: “Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for the Lord!” (Psalm 31:24)
Remember also that God “forgives all your iniquity, heals all your diseases, redeems your life from the pit, crowns you with steadfast love and mercy and satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s” (Psalm 103:3-5).
We can keep on going. We can “get back on the horse” because of God. <3
Thank you, dear Prayer Team. You rock!
With love,
Courtney
